Born from a dream to bring high quality, satisfying sleep to people, Dr. Casey D'Arcy began exploring the inception of One Sheep. With nearly a decade spent studying spinal biomechanics, she was poised to architect a pillow that would actually conform to the cervical curve. Motivated by passion and the drive to help others, Casey believes the quality of one’s sleeping hours is an invaluable component to living a happy and healthy life. One Sheep is dedicated to developing thoughtfully engineered products to ensure a more meaningful sleep experience is achieved.

Hi! I’m Casey, founder of One Sheep. I care a lot about sleep—not just “eyes closed, lying in bed” sleep, but deeply restorative, wake-up-a-new-person sleep. I also care a lot about the human spine.

During my eight years in private practice, nearly everyone I met asked me what pillow I recommended. And honestly? I didn’t have a good answer—because most pillows out there seemed to do more harm than good. In fact, I often told my patients to remove their pillows entirely to help with pain. It was my go-to answer, but even that had its downsides. Sure, it helped eliminate the 5” anterior head posture, but it also left the head rotated all night.

I used to joke with my patients that I’d have to invent my own pillow someday. And after closing my practice in 2021, I finally went to the drawing board—literally. Three years (and an unrelenting obsession with getting it just right) later, that pillow is finally here.

My hope? To bring the essence of real sleep into your life. The kind where you fall asleep fast and wake up pain-free. Because when you sleep better, everything gets better.

The Art and Science of OneSheep:

It is the consideration of the human form that we differentiate ourselves.

After realizing a very small population of people were actually satisfied with their pillow, we couldn’t help but wonder how or why the traditional pillow form came about. There have been advances in materials used but not so much innovation in the overall design.

When looking at the human head and neck, the solution was really simple. The answer wasn’t to add more, but rather to use less. We proudly designed an ergonomic pillow that cradles the head and supports the cervical curve allowing for the least amount of offense to the spine throughout the night.

OneSheep pillows were architected with intuitive form and organic materials including ethically sourced down and organic latex, making our pillows natural, antimicrobial, durable and long lasting with the support your body needs.

Block Shape

A block-shaped pillow, with its uniform and rigid profile, often falls short in accommodating the natural contours of the human body. Its flat, uncompromising surface can create concentrated pressure points, particularly around the neck, shoulders, and head. This lack of adaptability forces the body into an unnatural alignment, leaving key areas unsupported. Over time, this pressure can lead to discomfort or even exacerbate tension in sensitive areas, making restful sleep elusive for many users.

Curve Shape

In contrast, our curve-shaped pillow is thoughtfully designed to align with the natural curvature of the human frame. Its contoured structure cradles the head and neck, distributing weight evenly and relieving pressure points. By supporting the cervical spine's natural alignment, it promotes relaxation and reduces the strain on surrounding muscles. This ergonomic design not only enhances comfort but also contributes to improved posture, allowing for a deeper, more restorative sleep experience.
