Born from a dream to bring people deeper, more satisfying sleep, Dr. Casey D’Arcy began shaping the idea that would become One Sheep. After nearly a decade studying spinal biomechanics, she was poised to design a pillow that truly conforms to the cervical curve—a pillow that honors the human frame.
Casey believes that while sleep is an essential biological process, it can also be an indulgence to be thoroughly enjoyed. She advocates for generous, high-quality rest, and One Sheep invites a renewed appreciation for the sensory and experiential qualities that make sleep profoundly restorative. The richest benefits of rest emerge when it is approached with intention.
At One Sheep, exceptional sleep care is our conviction—a harmonious marriage of solid science with thoughtful design, form, and function. Our products are engineered to create a more meaningful sleep experience, so you can wake with the vitality and clarity that only true rest can offer.
I believe sleep should be a meaningful experience — a nightly ritual we look forward to. For eight or so hours, we’re given the opportunity to repair our bodies slowly and precisely, to cleanse the mind, and to let our memories take root.
Until now, pillows have been treated as inanimate objects simply placed on a bed. But they are required to perform — to support, to adapt as we move, to offer comfort without compromise. Our relationship with our pillow is deeply personal; few things in our home meet us with such intimacy, night after night.
The idea for this pillow beckoned me for years while I was in private practice. I came to understand, intimately, that the cervical curve is short and shallow, so I often asked myself: Why are pillows so thick? Our heads are round and substantial, so why is there nowhere for them to nestle into? I knew firsthand how distracting tall, overfilled pillows can be to sleep. They robbed me of so many nights of precious repair that I eventually chose to sleep without a pillow entirely. And still, I knew there had to be a better way.
Those questions — simple anatomical truths — brought One Sheep’s pillow form into existence.
My hope is that when you encounter One Sheep, when you read Carpe Noctem, a sense of rest moves through you. A quiet excitement to end your day, and to begin anew.
